Graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio USA, Tomo Kobori worked at Recruit Co Ltd and Hays Recruitment in Japan. After worked at both Japanese and UK firms Tomo Kobori started the business in India.
Tomo Kobori launch well-known houseware brand such as Joseph Joseph, Hario, Wineemotion and Truevino in India in the fields of wine and bar accessories, wine dispensing equipment, kitchen accessories, and houseware.
Tomo Kobori is responsible for business strategy, finance, marketing and overall operation for Dozo Services and Soozo Services in India.
After having 25 years of experience in different industries in India which is considered to be one of the biggest and most difficult markets in the world, i was determined to start something on my own and start liaise with companies all arround the world and help provide a launching pad to them in INDIA.
In 2012 i launched myself as an advisor cum consultant for GERMAN crystal glassware brands named NACHTMANN & SPIEGELAU. My expertise in understanding the market culture and consumer behaviour of purchasing and spending catalysed the company’s turnover from € 50000 to € one Million.
Along with NACHTMANN & SPIEGELAU, i am an exclusive agent/Consultant for Vacuvin,Tomorrow’s Kitchen company which sells wine accessories and kitchen tools. I have liaised with three companies of Japan named Thermos,Inomata and Hario which sells Vacuum flasks,Plasticware and high end Tea & Coffee accessories respectively.
In order to further explore homeware accessories collaborated as an advisor/consultant /distributor for Joseph Joseph one of the most prestigious UK brand which deals in kitchen and cleaning tools. Additionally, i have been successful in introducing high end Hangers called MAWA- a German company. Stechkol – A chinese company which sells high end BONE CHINA ……is one of the recent collaboration i had.
I cater to providing hourly advices to Gerson Lehman Group ( GLG ) which employees professionals around the world to share their expertise.
I am committed to introduce a lifestyle culture in INDIA which is more focussed on Quality over Quantity and in the past i have made this possible by launching high end products in INDIA and successful spread them all over.
Having completed 30 successful years of professional career, I started on my own last year. The acquired strengths and professional network is being used to connect manufacturers with retailers/ sellers.
During my professional career was associated with some of the leading corporate organizations/ brands such as Trident Group, Bombay Dyeing, Welspun, OCM, JCT, Garden & Grasim. During the years performed diverse roles from Operations, Quality Assurance, PPC, sourcing to marketing. Export skills were acquired from the global leaders, Trident and Welspun. Sourcing, retailing and branding knowledge has been gained at Bombay Dyeing and OCM. In last decade, as Profit Centre Head, enhanced revenue and profits year over year.
Did compressed Management and fashion course from LIUC, Castellanza, Italy. Had persued M.Tech at I.I.T., Delhi, prior to that.
